Songwriter David Ayers Shows His Support For Truckers. The Washington Post April 28, 2008


"HOW IT ALL STARTED"

 Allen and Ayers Productions was created by two songwriters Barry Allen and David Ayers. We collaborated at an NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) event and wrote the first song together, "When The Big Rigs Don't Roll" in the hallway of The Maxwell House Hotel in Nashville Tennessee on April 7, 2008. A song that has been called an Anthem and the best song written since,"Convoy", the best song ever written about truckers. The first organization to represent the song was our good friend Bart Herbson the executive director for NSAI (The Nashville Songwriters Association International) and their staff and they still talk of the song till this day. Numerous websites on the trucking industry played and used the song as their theme song. It was also taken to Washington D.C. by a trucker convoy and played at the U.S. Capital in the spring of 2008, we were proud to have participated in this event. Later that summer it was played at another truck rally on high fuel prices in Albany, New York where an elected official came out and addressed the protesters for the first time in history.The song was played at numerous rallies in many states and became the truckers rally song. Barry and David have been seen on CNN, Fox News and in the Washington Post, New York Times, Cox News and other news articles. Check out our "news page" for more info.
